Acupuncture can be the first course of treatment for pain but if you’ve tried everything else, acupuncture can still help.
Migraines and Headaches
Migraines can be debilitating and can range from a slight aura and pain, to extreme pain accompanied with nausea, vomiting and the inability to tolerate light. Chinese medicine diagnosing looks at the root cause of the migraines and the accompanying signs and symptoms to determine the cause and may help decrease the frequency and intensity of the migraines.
Headaches can be located anywhere along the head, from the back of the neck to the top of the head, behind the eyes or the temples. The pain can be sharp, shooting, dull and achy or tingly. All of these factors help to determine the cause and with treatment can help prevent the onset by correcting the imbalance in your body.
Facial Pain and Bell’s palsy
Sinusitis, Trigeminal neuralgia, eye pain and Bell’s palsy are in this category. Acupuncture needles are placed around the face and can help sinuses drain better, decrease inflammation on facial nerves thereby decreasing pain, as well as improve mobility of facial muscles as in the case of bell’s palsy.
Neck and Back pain
Acupuncture can be used to help decrease tension and improve blood flow to the back muscles as well as the spine which helps to treat acute and chronic back pain. Falls or car accidents cause acute back and neck pain; sitting at a computer or standing for long periods can cause muscle tension on our back and neck area, and over long periods this can cause chronic neck and back pain.

Acupuncture can decrease and may eliminate these symptoms allowing for a better menstrual flow, lessened PMS symptoms and better hormonal balance.
Repetitive Strain Injuries

Acupuncture helps to promote more blood flow to these inflamed muscles, this allows the body to heal the inflammation, restoring mobility and reducing pain.
